Kris Allen | Falling Slowly

Well, look what the cat dragged in. No, I didn't fall of the face of the earth. I've pretty much been modding behind the scenes all this time.

Good evening members.

There are updates to the rules in the userinfo -- some rules have changed; they are effective immediately. I'm working on a new layout as we speak and will probably change the icon later, as this place is in dire need of a facelift.

That's all.

I saw the live-action movie this weekend!!! It was awesomely awesome.
This is one of the episode-plots they didn't include in the movie, which disappointed me a little since it would have been an incredible one to see on the big-screen.

Ginko travels and investigates the mysterious life-forms known as Mushi, encountering many individuals who are troubled by them.
There is really no overarching plot and only one regular character. The art is some of the most beautiful I've seen in any anime, the seiyuu are really good, and every episode has a fascinating premise that will leave you gasping (or on occasion screaming; my neighbors were quite concerned.)

5th-May-2007 09:43 pm - Petshop of Horrors
Plot: In New York City's Chinatown there is a petshop run by the mysterious Count D. NYPD's Leon Orcot investigates several deaths that all lead back to the Count.

Two problems with the anime specifically - it's only four episodes, and I consider some of the later volumes to be the best in their unpredictability. two, the show doesn't nearly capture how lovely the art is in the manga - it's too cartoonish (I know, I know - it is a cartoon) and the characters become these stereotypes. (A friend insisted that D looks like Michael Jackson WHICH I DON'T AGREE WITH but... now I can't not see it, dammit)
Other than that, the overall plot is one of the best out there (but see, it takes later volumes to get into), and the seiyuus are awesome - I've heard tell even the American voice actors in the dubbing aren't bad for a change.
